Yep, and the story is kind of written underneath that show, in the splash screens, and how there's a lot less drunken dialogue now (and it's even lampshaded where Rick says he used to get DRUNK drunk.) It's no secret his relationship went off the rails (wonder why) a couple of seasons ago or so and his shit took a turn because of it.
