It’s a joke but yes right now I’m in the looking phase and after buying expensive first date lunches or dinners (where of course they get the most expensive thing on the menu) and then get the wall of text why I’m a nice guy but they aren’t interested. I generally just do coffee for a first meet up. What do you do for a first date? Or how do you approach?
I def wouldn't spend money on dinner etc. Coffee is fine and I'm just giving you a hard time. That being said the coffee date and dating game is not working really. When I go for women I just socialize around them and with them at work/school etc long enough to see if they are interested. Then coffee or whatever. Just cold approaching or asking out rarely works unless you're chad
Yea, I’m learning the cold approach doesn’t work. I’m average looking at best. People tell me all the time to meet women at church but that has been a dead end. Your method is good. At age 42 I guess I’m a little more urgent than when I was younger so I don’t play the game as slowly as before
Not hideous, not poor, and don't have a ton of kids.
That being said dating is shit and even women at age 30+ are entitled and expect a lot from a man. I recommend going to south America/Mexico and find some mostly European woman there. Same rules apply but you'll have more economic status.
What do you do for work/hobbies? How do you meet people (even men)?
I see people at work, although I do a hybrid schedule so most days I work from home. Church is another place and bookstores. I do see women at the bookstore quite a bit. I am into collecting sports cards, comic books, sci-fi, gaming, usual nerdy stuff along with sports (baseball, hockey, Dallas Cowboys). I have no kids and the only issue South American and Mexican women are nice plus I'm fluent in Spanish but after having worked for immigration and dealing with men who got married to women who left them after getting their green card I'm a bit hesitant to spend all that money for their paperwork.

At 42 you shouldn't have much trouble if you're:
