Retired Marine Corps Gen. John Allen wrote a scathing commentary for Foreign Policy, saying the president "threatened to deploy the U.S. military against American citizens." Navy Adm. Mike Mullen said in The Atlantic he was "sickened" to see security personnel "forcibly and violently" removed protesters from Lafayette Square and that Trump had "laid bare his disdain for the rights of peaceful protest."
The ones that were actively supporting a color revolution against the United States, and were publicly objecting to the use of reasonable force to stop the wanton destruction of DC and Seattle. The entire Lafayette Square incident was a lie concocted by the media because Antifa had tried to attack the White House and failed, and had been rioting for several days, and had attempted to burn down the historic church, all while the DC police and local government openly supported the terrorism. Same thing with Seattle and Portland where Antifa had spent most of the year attempting to kill hundreds of federal agents defending both federal court houses there which had been under siege by both and Antifa and the state government there which was attempting to facilitate the murders.
To be clear, Milley has already stated that he intended to start a military coup in the event that Trump did deploy troops to Seattle/Portland, and that's actually what these op-eds were attempting to rally support around. If Trump had deployed troops to Portland, he very likely would have been executed by now.
In any case, Trump didn't take the bait, and if you recall correctly, couldn't even get Twitter to allow his press secretary to talk about Hunter Biden's laptop because of the DHS & FBI already guaranteeing that part of the coup. The idea that Trump even had the ability to silence dissent is laughable.

It's hard to believe how much was set against Trump, and how much he has to keep mum.abpit to stay alive.
We literally had armed people trying to murder the president but pepper spray was too much
