The series is from the Before Time and not written by a native English speaker so you can go in with the assumption that he's writing a story that happens to have women in it and not a Woman Story.
Eh, it has powerful female sorceresses and the very, very, very occasional warrior, but they are never portrayed in an idyllic light and are just as flawed as anyone else in the series, running the gamut between good-hearted but prone to moral ambiguity to completely hateful scum and everything in between. Even Ciri takes a turn to the dark side for a while and suffers a lot of crushing defeats along the way.
Mostly just girl power stuff. It’s not super prevalent but it is pretty jarring at times.
