Pretty sure those latter religious celebrations are at least well established. Can the same be said about Kwanzaa? As much as we hear about it, can any of those celebrators actually define it?
I saw some black woman on one of my gf's tv shows saying they were going to diversify the Hallmark channel. They were fairly odd in positively portraying white people (incl white men!), which got them called out by you know who
It's the bait and switch. Look at the black sitcoms of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Sanford and Sons, The Jeffersons, The Cosby Show, Living Single, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, all of that appealed to White people, no one could have imagined that it would eventually lead to what we see on tv now with open ethnic resentment vehicles like Dear White People.
Remember kids, have a MERRY Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, A Kwaaaazy Kwanza, a tip top Tet, ... and a solemn and dignified Ramadan.
Simpsons, back when they were funny.
Funny how you can name all those ethnic holidays, but as soon as you say christmas.. all hell breaks loose.
