I used to have a 45 BPM RHR as well (now more like 55 BPM). Regular biking, soccer, swimming, running/jogging will do that for you. It's not too uncommon, a nurse should be aware of that.
I guess the kind of people that see nurses generally aren't that fit.
Healthy people don't go to the doctor very often.
Mine was 33 BPM at my athletic peak. That's enough to survive 2 clotshots!
