Well, WEF stll praise the chinese system to this day.
Anyhow, I'm not sure this protest will spark any larger outrage than the supposed other protest in recent time, had one for the banks and mortgages and one for the change to the education system forcing people to become blue collar workers when they wanted to be white collar after they payed and graduated among countless others, it is just that most of these get quite heavily suppress and destroyed and the west only hear about them when the west want to, which is why I wonder why we need to hear about these?
Also, these 2 went into this system to enjoy the benefits and then when it turned on them they left, which makes them to me just another set of grifters, not like they provide their raw sources and at most acts as context providers (hello MSG2) and aggraets sources, I really need better Intel for on the ground stuff in china.

Ehh, Winston and laowhy can be annoying sometimes, but I think this criticism is a bit unfair. Neither of them ended up in China because they had some burning passion for hardcore authoritarianism.
If you want to shit on them for being stupid and/or grifting, point out how they refuse to go hard on drawing the connection between the current trajectory of the west and where China is now. Can't call out western leaders who want us to inch towards becoming like China because a sizable chunk of their viewers probably support and vote for those Xi Jinping wannabes. Winston sometimes leaks through and was getting more and more bold as time passed but laowhy always came off as an NPC who learned jack shit from all his real world experience. Its been a while since I've watched though so maybe they've gotten better.
Never claimed burning passion for authoritarianism just greed and stupidity, a trait they keep even tough they have lived inside the system. And you are blaming the viewers for their route of action? These are people that have supposedly handled police surveillance, police visiting, Chinese viewers and their bot attacks and honey traps?
Either their retardation is on dangerous levels or the paycheck is gotten somewhere, who is paying is the question though.
I don't follow them a lot, just the snippets here and there but they stick to china still, I remember they wanting to branch off into cars, haha (but they don't have the skill for that, so back to the old hunting ground).
Mainly due to most Intel they give is not something I cannot find elsewhere and since they no longer are on the ground their use is nill if you ask me.
I don't think it's going to lead to a 'revolution', only because Chinese authorities are perfectly capable and happy to slaughter millions to retain control. Why care of the upstart millions when you have billions to replace them?
What this will do however, is increase the stagnation and decline of China internally, those millions protesting are the ones that are the most self aware, adept at problem solving and aggressive. With those gone whether by concentration camps, death by protest or fleeing the country, all you are left with are drones and cowards.
Say you start a war, you strike initially, begin an invasion but met with fierce resistance. It stalls, then what? Your force is full of drones and cowards that can't take the initiative, they hold as the defenders wipe them out or hold them till reinforcements arrive. Same happens with the economy, there's no drive to improve or innovate, this is further prove that there's a race of who's falling first, China or US and then that indicates who gets dragged off the cliff with them.
I'll be honest, I don't see a future where ANY country might be a superpower anymore, I've listed the issues China has so I'll list others on why they can't make it:
US: is going to hit a decline, only question is how far, after which they'll be a pull back and withdraw of having forces globally
Russia: too far behind technologically and the mafia like rule isn't helping to close that gap
Europe: already hit decline, banking on past prestige for influence
India: internal issues plus nuclear rivalry with neighbour stops an expansion effort
Middle east: no unifying cause
South America: corruption and instability
I might put forward a corporation control future but even they've been tainted by ideology, I think we'll just have a global decline across the board followed by a massive reconstruction under a completely new order, as the current NWO guys are going to fail.
They are going to make Tiananmen Square look like a joke.
I don't think they can do that at this point.
There's a camera in every pocket and the memory cards are so small that they can be hidden literally anywhere. Even if they shut down the entire country's internet, there's NO suppressing the pictures and videos that would be taken.
Look at Hong Kong for how this is going to play out. Rubber bullets, beanbags, tear gas, lots of arrests over weeks and weeks until the protesters get tired and remember they have to eat and sleep and pay bills.
Apparently, one of the situations that led to this was a major popular blowback after at least 5 people were burned alive in an accidental fire in the city of Urumqi, in the region of Xinjang. People were trapped inside the burning building, begging to be saved, after the government had wired the doors to the apartment shut. Once again, the purpose of wiring the doors shut was part of their Zero Covid policy.
Don't forget that the WHO originally praised these policies. It has since decided to call them... "unsustainable".

Yeah I agree with this. In fact, these two seem to agree with that assessment (despite the click-bait title).
It is beyond horrific what the CCP is about to do to quell dissent.
They are going to make Tiananmen Square look like a joke.
The only remotely positive thing that will come from this is that a future Chinese invasion of Taiwan will most likely fail.
Any Chinese citizen who is not a drone is about to be purged so there goes all hope for their country's hope of a global hegemony.
