Yeah, females have been used in commie propaganda for a long time, but everyone knows that with extreeeeemly rare exception, they're useless in anything combat related.
The only legit female solider I've come across is Mariya Oktyabrskaya. She received special treatment:
Oktyabrskaya was 38 years old. She enrolled in a five-month tank training program immediately after the donation. This was unusual: usually tank crews were rushed straight to the front line with minimal training... Many of her fellow tankers saw her as a publicity stunt and a joke, but this attitude changed when Oktyabrskaya began fighting in Smolensk.
She fought and was killed in less than 3 months, from 21 October 1943 to 17 January 1944
on 17 January 1944, Oktyabrskaya fought in another night attack as part of the Leningrad–Novgorod Offensive... the tank was hit by a German anti-tank shell, again in the tracks, and was immobilized. Oktyabrskaya immediately got out of the tank and began to repair the track, but she was hit in the head by shell fragments and lost consciousness. After the battle, she was transported to a Soviet military field hospital at Fastiv, near Kiev, and then to a military hospital in Smolensk, Russia. She remained in a coma for two months before finally dying on 15 March.
The following August, Oktyabrskaya was posthumously made a Hero of the Soviet Union
She received massive special treatment and didn't deserve the HotSU at all for being a bog standard tanker, but at least she was in the shit and not a pure propaganda soldier. She actually put herself at risk and got killed for it.
There is, of course, a possibility that she was just driving with the hatch open and got clipped by arty fragments like a noob, then the propaganda ministry made up a fake story to lionize her death.
In all the other "female solider" stories I've read, the exploits of the women sound fake as shit, and clearly didn't happen, and/or the women were kept safe as propaganda soldiers, kept away from danger, had lots of protectors, and took credit for the achievements of men for propaganda purposes.

The US also had Kara Hultgreen.
She actually crashed and killed herself due to being completely incapable of flying but given infinite passes because of her gender.
As far as I know, and I know very little of the specifics of the eastern front, most female combatants were partisans.
