All of the money that was used to prop up these companies for propaganda is running dry or so worthless thanks to inflation that it may as well be lunch money.
Which is great, though they can't rely on McDonald's as a fallback, a lot of the ones I've seen switched tills for interactive boards to order so even they got automated!
The robotic backend could destroy McDonald's. Once there is no reason to have all the workers, there is no reason to have most of management. Suddenly one competent guy is running all the McDonald's in the district and the restaurant is something akin to a soda machine.
Since McDonald's is really a real estate and rental company, having everything change means their actual profits disappear. The mall has 200 restaurants in the food court, and it's run by one guy. He does well, but the companies don't.
If Twitter makes a profit, then all of the other social media companies will follow it. That will likely destroy the reason to be paid for propaganda. The entire middle management and other classes have no reason to exist. We as a people move forward, but the depression from the job losses will be terrible to watch.
I should elaborate, they only automated the ordering process, which is an improvement as have you met the public, I'd want to reduce my time interacting with them too. They now have less on tills, more in the kitchen.
And I think that's the way forward from now on, humans make the product but no longer have to deal with idiotic people ordering taking 5 minutes to order a cheeseburger

I know. There are robotic systems being promoted right now to places like McDonald's as a replacement for those workers.
scary thing is they seem like feasable options...
