He's not Stalin, but he's way farther to left than any North American or European head of state.
Lula protected and threw money at MST which is basically a domestic terrorist organization that specializes in invading (supposedly unproductive) rural properties and eventually occupying them.
As soon as Lula lost his grip on power (with Dilma's impeachment) the invasions fell dramatically. Once Bolsonaro was elected they fell to zero. For the first time in the 6th republic.
Bruh, nitpicking a couple of cases of European governments expropriating houses doesn't compare to the thousands of violent invasions that were funded by the workers party in Brazil.
And I was mistaken about the number of invasions during Bolsonaro's first year.
There were actually 5
And bruh, Times of Israel, seriously? Archive that shit.
I appreciate your answer. As a Christian I’m all for helping those in need but I just feel like no system is ever going to solve every issue. I guess an completely voluntarist or anarcho capitalist society that has small communities where everyone agrees to voluntarily support the community. But that’s idealistic too. Like I said I have relatives who seem to love the free stuff message but won’t life a finger to help themselves. Perhaps a better social safety net that helps those truly in need but also as a society stop rewarding bad behavior. But I’m just rambling. Thanks again for answering. I do agree with you on more than I disagree with you.
