If so, is it any good? I sometimes enjoy a generic Rock movie every now and again. Cavill as Superman again also has me interested, and I've been itching to see a comic-book movie, but Marvel is now woke trash so I don't have many options.

Critics don’t like it so I guess that is an endorsement to see it
The real golden ratio is audience score divided by critic score, with a platonic ideal of infinity.
It was OK which is the best you will get in post-2016 corporate entertainment. If you liked Aquaman you will like Black Adam, same "feel", smaller scale.
It used humor like the pre-ragnarock marvel movies did where they didn't pause the whole scene to hit you over the head that they just made a joke.
No obvious "message" other than a very tepid, generic pro-revolutionary theme. The female lead occasionally lectured the men but nothing that would be out of place in the 90s, which is my barometer for that kind of thing.
Hawkman and Cyclone were turned black.
Never heard of cyclone before but you are right. But at least they didn't act "sassy" and cyclone was actually depicted as somewhat demure iirc.
My favorite part was when he knocked over a liquor store for some forties.
It is a typical expect nothing and you will be ok with it. Just ok.
It did make me rematch Shazam again which was actually really good
DC is now woke trash too because they want to be Marvel. Black Adam was WHITE in the comic books in case you never heard of this superhero before.
Edit: DC is producing a black Superman film separately.
