It's like a guy I know who is generally very much apolitical, at the beginning of the pandemic said, "Look all I'm saying is the people out there not wearing masks are very much voting for one party in particular."

Sovereign is he who sets the null hypothesis. The political positions progressives hold are the default behavior of a good person. Opposing their policies is politics.
I was a relatively less political person myself, before that shit started...
Then I had people threatening me to my face, for being "unjabbed", or for "not wanting to wear the mask". Even to the point of having providers threaten to remove my access to healthcare services, unless I "jabbed up". That would "radicalise" pretty much anyone, I feel...
