20 minutes about trees and... soul captures of demons or something? The explanation was so muddled I've forgotten. And yet I do remember that they never explain WHY their plan to get all the magic rocks will work. Will they eat them? Is there a spell to move souls from rocks to elves? Why would that exist?
Hack writers think everything needs backstory and people won't understand or get it unless everything is explained to them in minute detail.
