The game, as far as I've seen, does not have a woke message to beat you with but the characters are unlikable and the gameplay is boring.
It was advertised as being a lot more woke then it actually was.

So it's Saints Row 4? IMHO that's when the series jumped the shark. The whole "it's all a simulation and you're a superhero" thing killed it for me. The point of Saints Row was that it's wacky and over the top behavior in a realitic-ish world. When everything is fake nothing matters.

The screenshots look 100% woke. The only white people are the victims on the ground. The game's homepage looks like Twitter fanfic or a DIE seminar, complete with rainbow suspenders.
Yeah, this keeps happening lately. There’s a reboot or a sequel that looks super woke, the devs hype it up as super work, and then after it comes out, a bunch of people claim it wasn’t really that woke.
Then I give it a look only to discover that it is, in fact, leftist as fuck. Like Prey, which got all this love from even the alternative critics on YouTube, and the movie ended up being girl power idiocy from start to finish.
That's as much of a problem as the woke in games. New games just suck in general. Myself and the people I play with have gone months vying for new, fun stuff to play together and just keep being disappointed over and over again. We'd probably buy anything if we thought it would be fun because we want to spend time together, and if you're not in the same town gaming is one of the only things you can do. Instead everything that comes out is either dreary boring, a free-to-play grind with little content, or bugged to the point it ruins the experience.

SR4 was supposed to be DLC for 3. But THQ dying off forced them to make it a sequel instead because it did so much extra.
It was supposed to be non canon.
The new one is the kind of game that the saint's would make fun of.
