There is only one kind of diversity that matters: diversity of thought.
All of TV land now is one vast swath of rigidly enforced ideological sameness in different colored and shaped containers. THAT is why panel shows are dying.
And only in so much as "Oh these alternative opinions exist. That's interesting. I never looked it that way."
Minority voices should never be given undue influence on culture.
Is that not what the article says? I just assumed what you said from reading the title.
Every panel show I've seen for the last 10 years is either everyone trying to out-agree each other (lookin at you, Rubin) or 4-on-1 pile-ons.
The Agenda used to be really good for panels, now it's totally biased and boring.
