So theyre a blood cult that hasn’t figured out metallurgy yet?
About as much as black on black slavery will be brought up in the wahman king
I think an honest movie about African slavers would be interesting and maybe open up some eyes of stupid American youth who hate the west.
There was a joint Mexican / Spanish miniseries made a few years ago called "Hernán," which portrays Hernán Cortés' original expedition to Tenochtitlan. It pulls absolutely no punches about the Aztecs' industrialized human sacrifice, and it manages to show both sides of the conflict without villainizing either Cortés or Moctezuma. It's a pretty good watch, if you speak Spanish or you don't mind subtitles.
That series is pretty decent. I'm actually glad that we got a Spanish/Mexican production and not the Dalton Trumbo/Steve Zaillian script directed by Spielberg.
I think Spielberg is the greatest genre director of all time, and he sure knows how to do huge big budget adventure products. But with an original script by a commie and contemporary reworks by a wokie, I'm sure it would suck.
Besides, Javier Bardem (who was supposed to star in the Spielberg version) looks a little too old for the part IMO. Jaenada is a little too skinny for the role, but he did an excellent job.
+1 recommendation for this series. Thanks for bringing it up, dag.
It's an Amazon exclusive, though. I can only assume it's going to be anti-white/European/male and a white woman will end up saving/bedding some Aztec 'injun'.
The worst part of the “cultural” conflict is how we can respect and represent every ethnicity but the unique ethnicities that represent European and Slavic cultures. Name one prominent actor that is Slavic in the Witcher series despite it being entirely based on Slavic mythology. In fact every modern representation of the devil and demons are based on Slavic lore despite zero representation or acknowledgement.
