If Russia wins, it encourages China and makes our future wars against China worse.
If Russia loses, it sends the message to China that attempting to build an empire through wars of aggression is a bad idea that will only lead to ruin, which makes it more likely that the CCP will turn away from the path to war, or alternatively will more likely give up once they realize they are going to get trapped and bled dry like Russia is in Ukraine.
So as a person who cares 10x more about China than Russia, since I think Russia is dying anyway, the worse the outcome from Russia in the war, the better it is for the future containment of China.
Demographically at least, China is dying too. Their femicide in particular really fucked them over, because until recently they've actually had a population growth, even with the One Child Policy. They'll need to somehow either import or kidnap tens of millions of foreign young women (and they take no blacks) for their peasants and urban peasants. What a crazy country.
It will amke a difference, because it will just go downhill from there (demographic predictions) with no rebounding, and all the consequences. Just as elsewhere, except in Africa.
I don't know about you, but I am terrified of living under Russian or Chinese rule. History has taught us that these two countries struggle to understand the value of human life.
If you think these two countries will stop on those regions and not expand I have a bridge to sell. Just so you know, it is not just Taiwan, it is Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Philippines, India, Nepal and other countries.
I agree. Aggressive empires have proven time and time again that if they meet with success in their early expansion, they will double down and start expanding faster. They don't just eat once and stop.
In the modern world, the speed of potential conquest is far higher now. If China takes Taiwan, it will keep conquering with a snowball effect unless and until someone stops them.
Just look at the speed of the Japanese conquest in WW2. That was 80 years ago. If Japan had been more successful, it would have conquered all the way to India and Australia in the 1st year.
You should want Russia to win, because it'll make the morons think twice about repeating this BS in China.
Umm you have that backwards.

China has so many people that even if they lose a few hundred million to demographic collapse it won't make much difference.
You're talking tens of millions. That's nothing to a population of over 1 billion.

China will act regardless. It's whether America and the West can stay out of it for once.
I'm not dying to keep a despotic feminist in power.

Unless you are in Eastern Europe or Taiwan there is little danger of that.
