Allen was the only Duke player I hated and that was because of his on-court shenanigans. Zion Williamson seemed like a genuinely good guy and I wish he had gone anywhere besides Duke.
K wouldn’t have had nearly as much success without help from the referees. College basketball refereeing across the board is so notoriously bad it’s borderline criminal, and sometimes provably so, but some of the most blatant examples happened during Duke games; all while the sports media cheered him on. Dick Vitale was such a homer for Duke he lost his voice while singing their praises.
Coach K allowed it to happen. He could have said, “knock it off or you’re not playing,” but he didn’t.
Cool. One guy.
Because the head coach doesn’t have any say over what happens.
None at all.
Yes.
Yeah, Coach K didn't do anything.

Haters gonna hate.
I do hate Coach K and make no effort to hide it. He was a trash coach at a trash team. Duke was the perfect fit for a scumbag like Allen.
That “indefinite” suspension? Lasted one game.
Duke apologists gonna apologize.
Hate the coach, hate the players, that's cool--I certainly "hate" rival teams. Part of the fun of it.
But, by literally every measurable metric, K is either the best or one of the best coaches of all time.
