It's a humiliation display. You can't change my mind.
That grotesque statue of Jesus is the same shit.
The historical Popes would do things like holding gay orgies or openly worshipping Satan.
But anyway, https://apnews.com/article/archive-fact-checking-2283400002 is a great headline.

you can say that again. With a bigger 'F'
I'm not deeply fluent in the medieval history of Rome. What popes, specifically, do you have in mind?

Thanks, I hate it.
Do you have any evidence to back it up? That article doesn't. You would think the mainstream sources would be jumping at the bit to demonize popes, but they don't talk about this anywhere, just his work at creating holy orders, Catholic universities, and churches.

Rumours which were spread by the Borgia's contemporary rivals and enemies (especially within the Vatican, who hated Borgia #1 for having apparently bought the Papacy). These accounts can not be fuly trusted and there are no verifying sources to corroborate.
What is true is that the Borgias were irrevocably corrupt, had mistresses and bastard offspring, some of whom were installed as Cardinals and future popes. They literally started a Papal dynasty.
