This is the most retarded way they could have made a cripple superhero. A big part of how spiderman is able to swing around is because he can gain a lot of momentum by running and jumping with his super strong legs. Barring that, he can get into an advantageous position by crawling on walls. I can't see this chick doing that with useless legs and goddamn crutches strapped to her arms. Which leaves the only possibility that she gets around using her webs like batman's grappling gun, which isn't how spiderman's webs fucking work.
There are better ways to be 'inclusive' with crippled heroes. Professor x was the world's most powerful psychic. Batgirl for decades was crippled and made up for it by being an information broker. In the marvel movies war machine was still able to get around with broken spine using a robot exoskeleton. But this is terrible in every aspect.
It's the kind of disability that benefits the character. It emphasizes his mind and lets him remain in a supporting role, which makes him a better mentor character. He's able to be a powerful figure while having a good reason he doesn't solve issues himself.
agreed on all fronts, they coulda had her be a sort of doc oct/tony stark type charactor with the tentacles or whatever being disguised as the wheelchair when not in use said chair if the charactor is vilanious or how ever its spelt could easly hide concealed weapons in it like a small poison dart or even nerve gas.

Stop justifying their cancer. "Inclusive" is not a goal worth chasing.
I had always assumed that being crippled was a sort of power trade-off for Professor X. Super-powerful mind, not-so-cooperative body.
