I'm reading both tbh. In addition to reading the ongoing Krakoan X-Men stuff I'm making my way
down townthrough Uncanny X-Men (1963) plus related comics and currently I'm on #125 where Proteus shows up for the first time in the midst of the original Phoenix Saga.I check a few titles when they release every week via certain places 🏴☠️ and also use same said places to go through catalogues of comics going back decades. This has included the entire runs of Invincible, The Boys, Injustice, Immortal Hulk, Hickman's runs of the Fantastic Four and Avengers, Superman: Earth One, Irredeemable and Incorruptible [before Waid went full blown SJW], and countless others.
In addition to saving me a literal fortune in reading costs it means I not only don't fund modern day wokesters but also can check out various woke projects to pick apart like this post aims to. Have seen a few similar posts over the years on here and OG KIA 2 that were good reads/breaksdowns and inspiring to do the same.
That’s good to do. It just makes me sad to see how far the big 2 have fallen. I try to support modern indies. Like I pre ordered Rippaverse and try to buy alterna comics every few months
I've swapped back and forth a few times between DC and Marvel. Atm I'm on only reading Marvel stuff, and even then only really the current X-Men stuff, because DC comics are just dire right now.
Justice League built up to a fight vs the being that created the Multiverse and in the end she got taken out by the Batman Who Laughs throwing rocks at her after that character ascended to levels of absurdity. Since then Batman hasn't really been Batman, Superman isn't Superman, and Wonder Woman isn't even on the same plane of existence. Every main comic is either forcing in OCs like Naomi or replacing legacy characters with worse copies nobody asked for because part of the replacement involves destroying the replacement character in the process.
Fans liked Super Sons. They liked Jon and Damien as a team but Bendis of all people fucked that up by removing Jon from the timeline, aging him up, then setting up a shitty shoe filler arc from son to father.
