Remember "Bridget," the groomed boy from Guilty Gear? Yeah, they're claiming him now.

Why do they feel the need to claim characters like this is a nuclear arms race. "We've got [insert character here] now!" "So and so is ours now!" No, you fucking don't. No, they aren't. You don't own that character, and saying shit like that proves that you don't give a shit, you just treat things like property to be used as a weapon against people you don't like. FFS I'm so tired of this.
I cant wait to toss them out of every single hobby and shun them like the lunatics they are.
thing is in another thread the japanese version still references the fact that he was only raised as a girl because of some village law against same sex twins and he wants to be seen as a manly man
this is the localisers performing a culture man-in-the-middle attack
Yeah, that's what I mean. They just claim characters like they own them, when they know it's not true. They're just doing it to spite the people they don't like. It's incredibly childish.
Makes me think of when I was a kid. Me and my friends would always claim character that we "were" and if someone else got dibs on the main character, sucks to be you.
It's been nearly a decade in GGs chronology between XXAC+ and Strive. I can't believe he still hasn't even hit puberty. That much is clear in the voice they're using, not even a hint of boyishness.
Wait until you see the rest of the thread.
I almost linked the actual tweet here, but was afraid that would break some sitewide rule.
If you replace twitter with nitter, you can probably link to it. Nitter is twitter's anonymous cousin that behaves almost the same way. That's a bit of an overstatement, but you get the idea.
Son of a wealthy cultist indoctrinated from birth to believe he's a girl. Trans conversion therapy.
Many such cases!
The grooming comes in Strive. In ecery appearance prior he would forcefully correct people who thought he was a she. In a strive bad end he accepts the grooming.
If anyone is wondering what the poster meant by "groomed", the description states what canonically happened.
