Colleague (fucking talkback radio host, of all things, who has only pivoted to "wokeness" in the last few years, like an anti-Tucker or something) trying to get the guy (i.e. the fan) sacked:
What the psychotic woke rugby "fans" online claim to think about this (while slagging off working class rugby league fans in the process for being "uncultured and uncouth. We wouldn't want to be like them, now would we?" Because of course):
I hate this stupid sport. I hate the fucking team. I hate the English team. My parents (no one is going to be surprised by this), though? They fucking love Rugby Union, and the woke Wallabies, insist on watching every game "as a family", and genuinely argued this morning that Eddie Jones was in his right, to threaten to fight the fan over this, and that this whole... Clusterfuck, is entirely reasonable. Because of course they did...
And then proceeded to slag off tradesmen for the next 20 minutes or so, for being "selfish, arrogant and insular", while telling me how I should "celebrate" increasing Muslim immigration into their state (because the ABC tells them that is what they should think)...
I'm not sure what the American equivalent to this sort of... "Hyper woke" sports environment is. The NFL, to an extent? Sure, but I think this is objectively worse...
I've only seen this sort of shit in your stupid fucking basketball (sorry, fans), which has now exported its horrendously toxic woke race and gender politics to over here, even down to the level of my hometown. Not city. Even more local than that. A town of less than 50k people, and yet, even here, basketball is like this, and divides the community along these lines...
Fuck basketball, honestly. Not the sport itself, per se (I played a bit, at school, after all), but the stupid fucking woke "politics" that follow it, at an organisational/managerial and team level, everywhere it manages to get its claws into.
Some stuff happened after I wrote this. Partly the Reddit shit. Partly not.
I think I’m going to… Stop posting and commenting for a while. Here, there and everywhere.
I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll be back (but I probably will).
Things are not good. I no longer feel that… Putting my views out there is particularly worthwhile, or a particularly good use of my time. Not right now, anyway.
No one needs to know any more than that. I just… I’m pretty done.
I’m sorry for being a “sperg”, sometimes.
But yeah, maybe it’s best if I… Just go away for a while. And work on coming to terms with a life that… Has not worked out. I need to sit with that, for a time.
Calling the coach a traitor is fucking stupid - it's just a game, and you wouldn't get to play without an opposition team to play against. Australia's team had the right of first refusal and already fired the guy, so it's not like Australia's going without because of his decision.
The fan shouldn't be fired for being an asshole, but I think there is good reason to ban him from games if you don't want people in the crowd shouting that the other team is the enemy.
It’s such a cop-out, and so salty (sorry, Grumm), that I reckon only an Englishman, or a New Zealander, could have written something like that, in response to this, lol…
Or maybe Japanese?? I know Eddie Jones went and coached over there after we sacked him the first time, so… Eh, who knows. But anyway, yeah, I agree with you!
If a professional men’s international rugby coach cannot handle a sledge this tame, from his own countrymen..? And then threatens to actually fight the guy? And THEN tries to have the person’s life destroyed, only to be enabled by both RA, and the guy’s work colleagues..??
I consider that pretty fucking pathetic, IMHO, lol…

Fuck this shit.

I was a basketball fan for 25+ years.
This is why I quit.
NBA then MLB. Football may be the least woke at this point
What happened to sticks and stones? This happens when you womenise society, it does not become better it become a power play using emotions.
Someone stalked me around Reddit, today, to “expose” me for opinions like this…
And then tried to doxx me. Again…
Jesus fucking Christ that place. Smdh…
Eh, so…

Thanks.
The person stalked me all around Reddit, lol.
It got really, really bad. To the point of nearly being “doxxed”. So…
I’m just gonna take a sabbatical, try and recover, and go from there.
I think I’ll be ok.
Thanks, and sorry.

I completely disagree.
It’s a sledge. Sledging is part of the sport.
Rennie (the Australian coach) may well get the same when he goes over to NZ for a game, and so be it.
The coach is only paid the money he is because fans, like the one involved, pay big money for their membership, and tickets.
Jones is a thin-skinned twat. Take the insult like a man. Shrug it off and ignore it.
Fuck this line of thinking that calling him a “traitor”, or even a “flog”, is worthy of any sort of ban.
It’s called being a professional sports coach. They go low, you go high.
If you cannot handle the crowd sledging you, especially with something as mild as this, in a game against the old enemy, when you win anyway..?
Then you should damn well get out of the spotlight.
Nothing about this is morally ok, from Jones’ reaction onwards. So no, I completely disagree.
Pissy much dude
Must be English, I reckon! 😂
