It’s amazing the hoops these people jump through to not acknowledge this was a politically caused problem.
Oh so gas is expensive because we chose to use unreliable energy sources, not because of a heatwave….
It's never on the news or anything, but even in the flyover country part of the US the coal plants are dropping like flies. All the power issues they liked to complain about in Texas likely wouldn't have been a thing if the coal plants were up. I read about the two big coal plants in Arkansas are going to be shut off in the next few years as well. I actually toured one of them years ago with an engineering group, for what you'd think as a coal plant they were extremely clean facilities. They are also 2 of the 3 largest power plants in the state and are of course going to be replaced with green energy. So yet another place that will start having issues.
The climate change screamers are just fucking stupid. That's really all it is, even if all of their problems were totally real their plans to fix it just can't even work.
They do care about hurting the little people. They work very hard to hurt the little people on ways that they swear they believe will make "the world" a better place
And what could be a better place than a world without all these excess little people running around?
Energy policy being tightened to force a green transition is what's causing prices to soar. Summer heat is proximal to the rise, but not the cause. It's normal seasonal demand-- the energy supply being fucked is the reason prices are spiking.
what, does the warm weather make the gas harder to extract?
