The funny thing about this is that Sims has always had fluid sexualities, with essentially everyone being down for anything. So this change actually limits players options more than before. I expect there will be far greater complaints about too many characters being straight, or they'll make an unrealistic number of characters gay.
It's also funny to say this is a 'fact' when these games have vampires, aliens, harry potter magical worlds, etc. And everything can be turned off with mods.

Maybe they'll just set all NPCs to be bisexual, or at least the unattached ones.

IIRC they start off 50/50 bisexual and then gain a preference based on past actions which can be overridden by user choice. That is to say, if your male sim is always with women he won't automatically go after men, but you can make him do so.

That's largely what they do now, although some start tilted in one direction or the other. Either they're virtue signaling or it's going to be all fags all the time in every town.

This is correct for player made Sims, but some NPCs do start off tilted one way or another.

The first Sims game didn't have this. It was the best.
