So this change actually limits players options more than before. I expect there will be far greater complaints about too many characters being straight, or they'll make an unrealistic number of characters gay.
Maybe they'll just set all NPCs to be bisexual, or at least the unattached ones.

IIRC they start off 50/50 bisexual and then gain a preference based on past actions which can be overridden by user choice. That is to say, if your male sim is always with women he won't automatically go after men, but you can make him do so.
