Women working as the default leads to less societal freedom and independence, not more.

You're right, but I also think it's important to point out that society itself is falling apart; yes, a big part of the problem is women...but it's not like modern men are much better. Everyone is getting destroyed and made worse people by what was intentionally done to society.
The point is that even if they start out in a place you agree with so you give them what they want, they escalate it until you finally end up wondering how the fuck you let it get to this point.
