Depends on whether they're there to play games or to whore themselves.
Both are easier regardless, just in different ways.
For every frothing at the mouth misogynist, there are three dudes who will happily go easy on a girl, carry her to high levels, and be a mentor to help them git gud. Even if the stream is awful, they will still be light hearted about it.
The 'problem' is that the good often outweighs the bad. Like when people on social media say that the one negative comment has more impact than the 100 positive ones.
I'm not even talking about the supposed misogynists. But if you're just a woman playing a game, and some thirsty tard shows up who tells you to show your tits - that's quite gross.
This presupposes that guys don't receive the same types of comments. Not the same flavors, but I can say I've seen numerous friends try the streamer route and end up with those attacks once they go above the 3 viewer (that is 2 bots and their wife) range.
The good massively outweighs the bad for them, they are just so used to the good that they appreciate it less. Like the meme of "guys remembering the one time a girl said they were handsome 8 years ago vs woman recieving her 99th compliment that day" it only has more impact because they are so used to the level of special treatment and soft hands they normally get.
So then it becomes a question of impact versus objective worth. Which if we only measure based on impact then a millionaire losing his car is a bigger problem than a poor man losing his house, and I'm sure you can see the problem doing so.
I see what you're arguing. Let's say a woman wanted to be the next Asmongold. That would be as hard for her as it was for Asmongold.
But then again, if all she wants is the views without the actual "respect", she can just show her tits. Something Zack never had the luxury of doing.
"When the good outweighs the bad" applies only when the bad and the good are of similar qualities.
When "the good" is piles of fucking money, and "the bad" is someone saying they only got the money because they're an overglorified camgirl, it becomes much harder to parse...
But we know the good outweighs the bad, because they keep doing it. If the bad outweighed the good, they'd stop, but their underdressed selves are there on a regular schedule to get those superchats. There is literally zero cost to stopping, there is no cancellation fees, no mandatory contract lengths. The moment the bad outweighs the good, they're gone.
And they're not gone.
But they're at least getting attention rather than rambling to an empty void. they also have guys willingly throwing money at them.
