Yes, and their attitude of just letting homeless people roam freely ends up hurting society and the homeless people they're supposedly trying to help.
I don't think homelessness is a problem you can ever solve, because it's not as simplistic as just some poor guy down on his luck like the left wants to portray it. There is serious mental illness and drug use at the root of most of these people's problems.
The humane thing to do would be to round them up and force them to get help against their will, but God forbid we do that, the left will fucking explode with rage.

I talked to someone who worked for orgs that dealt with the homeless and they thought those were like 10% of the homeless population - people who through a few bad decisions and bad luck ended up homeless, that could get back on their feet with help.
The other 90% - not so much.
Honestly, there's clearly 2 groups of people on the left. There are hopeful optimists who really mean well but end up supporting bad policies because they can't actually see the results.
Then I think there's truly evil people who delight in the idea of creating a whole group of broken, destroyed people they can feel superior to. This mentality is what drives their push to make people homeless, the trans thing - visibly manipulated and broken people they know they're better than - and back when liberals were the pro-slavery party the desire to keep black people being slaves so they'd always have someone "below" them in the hierarchy.

Won't see the results. IMO pushing destructive policy because it 'feels good', and not taking two seconds to think about consequences (when sane people are telling you what those consequences will be) is extremely self serving. It's almost as evil as the people who act out of malice. Sometimes people genuinely make mistakes, but a ton of progressives act like the world exists for the sake of their ego, and turn a blind eye to what they don't want to see.
I'll concede that some people are just too brainwashed by a vast propaganda machine designed to prey on their weaknesses. Still frustrating when they won't think for themselves, but sometimes I have to remind myself that they're victims too.
I was like "what does this have to do with gay shit?" it's benches designed so homeless can't sleep on them.
then I saw HOBOphobic.
The Left's glorification of the homeless is one of their many manifestations of mental illness.
