Which is interesting, because the federal government is granted no general law enforcement authority under the Constitution. That's why the Secret Service is part of the Treasury Department; they at least paid lip service to the rules in the 1800s.
Legally, customs enforcement, high seas piracy, currency, and prosecuting treason are the only areas the federal government has been enumerated law enforcement authority. But hey, when you have an army of police and friendly judges to back you up, you can say the Constitution says whatever you want it to.
Also, anyone else creeped out by how the left has swung from aggressively condemning the police state apparatus during Bush Jr's term to becoming best buddies with them today?
It was only a problem for them when they didn't control it. Now that it's been infiltrated with woke faggots and alphabet pedos it's useful to them.

And big tech. And the intelligence community. And big Pharma.

The alphabet soup was as full of child raping progressives under GWB as it is now. The difference is that the narrative has progressed so far from reality that they cannot tolerate nearly as much hostile criticism from controlled opposition.
Not really when you consider they want to DEFUND THE (local) POLICE but keep the Federal agencies running at full speed towards authoritarianism
