I tried to raise a venus flytrap when I was a kid. The thing died within like a weak. Turns out flytraps are incredibly picky with what type of soil they're in because their unique dies requires nutrient poor soil.
Yea you need acidic peat with sand, lots of mineral-free water (distilled or rain, no tap), lots of direct sunlight, watch out for aphids and don't let them freeze during winter but still keep them cold and well ventilated so they don't get moldy (edit: oh and don't play with the traps because they only work a couple of times).
Fernbaby mom: when you're too incompetent and irresponsible to keep an actual animal alive.
Seems like a cry for attention- maybe they ran out of ideas for new pronouns.
Pshaw, carnivorous plants are more challenging to keep alive than most pets. They're more needy than a feminist on twitter.
