Regular 87 octane is now officially over $5/gallon here in NJ.
It's only been a year and a half and they've already made it nearly impossible to live here. Everything is more expensive, and now I have to pull double shifts just to break even.
Not only that, but they're making it impossible to do the one thing I liked doing to take my mind off of things: driving my little sports car. It is now going to cost $50 to fill up the tiny little 10 gallon tank it has.
Fuck Biden.
Fuck Democrats.
Fuck Liberals.
Fuck all of them.
If you think the ruling class cannot make it any worse than this, you are unfortunately wrong.
Gas costs over $8+ a gallon in most European countries.
This is not to say that you should count your blessings. Only that you should stop this garbage while you still can. Because they're not going to stop at $5. It will get worse, if you allow it.
No gas in Europe cost over $8 a gallon. They all cost silly things like "euros" per "litre" or some other made up nonsense.
Well yeah. It deflates the amount.
$8 a gallon sounds like a lot. $2 a liter sounds like less. And 1.80 euros a liter sounds like even less than that.
You're completely right, it doesn't cost $8 a gallon.
Let's use the UK as a example, as I live in it.
Fuel is measured in litres, there's 4.5 litres in a imperial gallon, current standard unleaded is averaging £1.72 a liter. So £7.74 a gallon, converted into Yankee money, that'll be $9.72 at current.
So you're kinda right I guess. In a you're a fucking idiot kind of way.
Ontario has gas over $2/liter, which would convert to ~$9/liter. Conversion rate of, say 70%, and that's about $6/liter.
This is in a country with one of the largest oil reserves in the world, as well as some of the cleanest, safest, and most advanced extraction technology.
Our PM is actually introducing laws preventing us from shipping it, let alone refine it domestically. Better to buy from Saudi Arabia and Russia...
