They think we're all sexists and racists who won't touch a show with a black female lead, so they trojan horse their diversity cast with established characters and pat themselves on the back for smashing the patriarchy or some shit.
What they fail to realize is that we are averse to shitty fanfiction writing, and they happen to have inserted all their diversity characters into their shitty writing. The result, for me at least, is an association between minority/female characters and shitty writing.
So I guess you could say I am sexist/racist, but they did this to me.
Yea. Up until 2014/15 I would give any show or movie a chance. Now with the obsession with diversity for the sake of it I assume the worst when I see certain casting. Like you said. It’s their fault for doing this
No one said it's always the case. But an outlier does not disprove a general rule. Nor does the existence of a general rule nullify the possibility of an outlier.
Minority men not so much, there seems to be many good actors, and the writing is rarely imersion breaking, but I now avoid anything that has black women in it, it's a clear sign it's going to be trash.
The acting is rubbish for one. Maybe just because there's a lack of good black actressess, to go with the massive demand, but maybe their woke points makes others afraid to give them direction.
I've had enough of independent women(TM) who are engineering geniuses but also the cool people find them so charming even though they're arrogant, condecending, narcissists and everyone acts as if they're beautiful, even though clearly they're at best a 4. The dissonance is just too much.

I absolutely won't touch a show with a black female lead. Nor will most consumers. Black women are, on the whole, obnoxious, self entitled apes.
While stereotypically true, that's certainly not always the case. But disney has only fed that stereotype with their casting decisions.
