If you have a diverse group of engineers that are awesome, they are awesome because of their actual skill and ability. Pushing the idea that being diverse makes something better is absurd. Can be good but can be bad.
Even when it works is because the engineers have something in common, or at least they used to, they used to love what they did, they had passion and took pride in their work. I've not seen that in a long time.
The idea that diversity is a virtue in itself is not good at all. You can have diverse points of view, different ways to manage or resolve issues but the idea that diverse melanin levels would somehow magically make things better is ridiculous.
Is interesting how 6 years ago diversity was not thought of as something positive, companies knew it causes friction, you had to keep silent about politics, sports, religion etc., coincidentally we were also taught to be color blind.
Now you must bring your entire self to work, politics and all, you are also not allowed to notice color but at the same time you must notice color because skin color diversity is important.
And the left has the audacity to call this progress.

That's the only way a pluralistic society can work, if you call that working. Ideally you'll still have a cultural norms from the dominant subgroup (say, Northern Europeans) imposed on everyone else for stability. People can't just do whatever they fuck they want and expect everyone else to cooperate.
I’d say I’m color blind in the sense that what I think of someone is based on their actions or how they are and not their race but you make valid points. The idea that it is a virtue in and of itself is crazy and you notice they never want diversity of opinion. Yea this whole being color blind is actually racist has caught steam. Crazy crazy world we live in my friend.

And the biggest evidence of why diversity for the sake of it doesn’t work is the entertainment industry
