Can personally attest. I tried to fix a date in the wiki for the Navy squadron I was in, and when I checked back later it was reverted back. When I said I knew the date was wrong because I was in the squadron at the time, I was told my lived experience isn't an "authoritative source."
“Authoritative sources” are the primary means of controlling the narrative. A black guy can mow down a crowd of peas while shouting “I’m doing this because I hate white people” and you won’t be able to mention that on Wikipedia even though you have the video. No “authoritative source” will mention it

Don't forget the only "authoritative sources" are generally mainstream media, and even fox isn't considered authoritative"
Only Al Jazeera, or the Saudi Funded ‘Independent’ count as ‘authoritative’
Even if you had a source, like a document straight from the Navy, you'd still be denied. They only allow news reports of events, not primary records.
