It's quite, quite clear from the well-documented testimony that none of the officers or offenders concerned view poor white girls as "their own people" at all.
I think this isn't something you're going to be able to assess properly, Imp, on account of your own ideological blind spots.
I think it's less than credible considering it only happened in areas with openly feminist and huge majority elected Labour MPs who could control the narrative.
It just happened to fall in places where they had zero risk of the scandal costing them power, at the precise time they were pushing for the "right" to murder?
The only counter argument is that it cost them reputation, but that argument is terrible - they all got returned to Parliament after.
I mean, one happened in Jess Phillips' constituency. Someone who holds the most disturbing views about men in a government that's full of such views.
Too many coincidences.
