Couldn't literally anyone just... copy wikipedia, articles and all, host it themselves, and let a community fix it?
yeah like anyone can make a twitter or a reddit. the name is the most valuable. it has history and name recognition
Name is valuable. And... unfortunately, the right is terrible at names. Alt sites have non attractive names.
Wikipedia isn't great. Most of this is just normalcy of using certain words a lot. Google for example. Was not natural until people used it for 10+ yrs
Truthsocial, infogalactic are good examples of that.
But, not only that, we also need a product that is known and popularly used, like Wikipedia and reddit.
Infogalactic does exactly that.;
