My conspiracy hat brain wonders if this is not only pre-empting how badly it might do but also seeding the critics in the first place so there is a "legit" topic for the "complaints" to be made about which can then be bitched about on twitter.

Now whether there is any care made by those who would complain about the woke-washing is a different matter but it wouldn't be the most absurd form of false flagging to happen.
