btw Russia still has decent TV:

Police procedural where crimes are solved by a cranky guy with a superhuman sense of smell

World were humanoid robots are integrated into society and an advanced one develops sentience

A pandemic causes society to collapse and a family is trying to make it to a safe house in the countryside - ironically this one is carried on netflix

These guys all happen to star the same guy who I guess is popular over there

Korean television is super popular on Netflix because people would rather watch ethnically homogeneous entertainment from anywhere instead of artificial diversity from “home”.
