This part does worry me:
I have a gut feeling this means some BLM crap. And not only included but the center of the story. I'm also certain it will be forced as fuck.
The Witcher series did touch on racism thru elves and dwarves but it was not the main theme of the games. It was a nice take on the entire thing with no clear good vs bad conclusion. Although I did find it a bit forced in some quests in Witcher 3.
DA4 is going to be insufferable.
I'd be more worried about the related article:
Tells you all you need to know about the kind of people who make the game.
Dragon Age was overrated anyway. Yea, 1 was a good game but by no means as good as the hype. It made Bethesda games look stable and bug-free in comparison. I remember playing it and just about every single quest walkthrough on the wiki had a section about bugs and how to deal with them. And that was a couple of years after release and with community patches.
Never got around to playing DA2. Between the clusterfuck that was the ME 3 ending, their DLC policy (you could only buy from them and it never went on sale) and virtue signalling in DA3 I simply lost interest in their games.
DA3 was the reason I no longer watched Angry Joe.
I just could not understand what high score DA3 got, it was not only Angry Joe but all the the publications and reviewers. It was a time I was still shocked by things like this.
DA had always used Elves as a stand in for black people/Indians, I’m sure this game is going to be more heavy-handed than ever. It’s a shame, I replayed Origins a little over a year ago and I was shocked by how well it held up. Bioware used to be great before they caught The Gayness.
Origins was the only great one. I got bored in DA2 and in Inquisition I just could not get passed the MMO feeling I had at the beginning.
Yea that is a major red flag.
