mutants can be fucking dangerous

I've made a post about this before where some mutants simply are dangerous through no action of their own: https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/140IwfLKiP/x/c/4JIO6Ort749

Some passive powers in the comics are just flat out Extinction Level Events if scaled up affect a large enough area, and that's before you get onto the mutants who choose to use their abilities in any way.
