This is an update regarding a post here two days ago.
We have seen this once before, where Google would claim a Win site was hacked. That was during the peak of the election cycle on the most trafficked Win site.
It took a few days but their system has finally alerted Win to this.
"Google has detected harmful content on some of your site's pages. We recommend that you remove it as soon as possible."
The supposedly harmful content:
"Hacked: URL Injection".
"These pages appear to be created by a hacker in order to spam search results."

The content which caused the "hacked" warning during the election cycle was a link to security camera footage, which claimed to prove fraud.
This kind of anti-competitive behavior should be illegal. At least in my opinion claiming harmful content or that the site is run by hackers, algorithmically determined or not, is a form of defamation.
You are correct but good luck proving malice (even though we all know it exists). Defamation law in US is fucked
Why would government make it illegal? THEY DID IT. This is what they want. Google is doing what they are told.
Epic did tell everyone about this kind of tactic, except they talked about it in terms of business competition being blocked rather than wrongthink being taken out.
