Honestly this is kind of brilliant on their part.
Their main target audience for this overpriced pins are the so called "nerds" who can't even name other Star Trek characters outside Kirk and Picard. They also own mugs and t-shirts with Harry Potter and have some star wars funkpop on their desk and think Chewbacca is funny.
Fake-geeks overlap greatly with the vaccination cult.
And lets face it, the woke "nerds" far exceed actual fans and are more then willing to pay for this. Fans are no longer happy to spend tons of money on franchises that have turned to shit.
If anything this is Ares exploiting the woke morons while also virtue signaling.
But buying said pin is illogical. Because it will only be accurate for a couple months, at which point The Science(TM) will change again and you'll need yet another booster to be fully vaccinated. But don't take my word for it, Pfizer's CEO says as much.
Meanwhile I remember when Star Trek was against compelled medical procedures, even when such procedures would prevent a literal war.
Just old propaganda that's outlived its usefulness.

I hate that we live in a world where these pins exist, but I don’t hate the “star fleet medical” one on its own merits. Vaxx’d warrior and science is logical are so terrible that they ruin it by association though
