Entry and exit wound I think, looked like he got shot sideways through the chin, probably shattered his jaw and went shallow enough to just leave a hanging flap.
I once shot a feral wounded goat in the head with a .270win from about 4ft away (to put out of its misery), there was just a stump of the neck left and I was covered head to toe in minced goat head.
The OP pic was definitely a lot of energy, in the vid the shooter has what appears to be a regular sized semi-auto, what sort of caliber would do this? 10mm auto?
While I'd like to see more detail - not of the picture, of the events - I don't recall anybody saying "pistol"
