They burned down pretty quickly after they bent the knee to the cabal and banned a bunch of guilds that went against the narrative.

Even though I think social media is cancer, I've been really damned impressed with Gab's CEO standing up to the tyrannical bullshit from multiple world governments.
Didn't gab ban porn or something? While I might not want porn on there that's still free speech.
Banning pornography is not really comparable to banning political discourse. I don't think the original argument to have it covered by the 1st amendment to the Constitution of these once-united states was particularly strong.
I might be misremembering because I never used Gab but I recall the porn ban was precipitated by loli posters (but I don't recall if it went as far as porn). Lolicons who got banned elsewhere gave Gab a shot, the owner (Torba something) saw it and basically said "fuck that you're outta here" which resulted in the porn ban.
Gab seems to be surviving despite (or because of) it.
I'm not sure of my own opinion on the matter.
Gab has leaned heavily into the religious angle, and it makes sense that a devout, proselytizing Christian wouldn't want to host pornography.
For me, I'm not looking for porn on Gab, and don't mind that it's not there.
Political speech not being censored is important not loli garbage. Want loli garbage go to twitter
assuming much?
I seem to remember them banning ALL types of porn
I don't even disagree with the loli ban, it makes sense from a tactical standpoint(though I still don't agree fully, art is free speech...I can just understand why they did it).
