Mark my words, at the rate they're actively destroying the language, English won't be the Lingua Franca any more in another 50 years. It'll probably be Chinese or Spanish.
Say what you will about South America, they tell it like it is. They don't tip toe around controversy and pick their words specifically so they're not offensive to anyone. You don't see activists trying to lobotomize the Spanish language, because most South Americans fight it.
You could argue that's actually an English word. It's used exclusively by English speaking westerners. It's not even pronounced like a Spanish word. Unless they start pronouncing it Latin Equis, it's an English bastardization.
Spanish also has some brutish concepts ... constructs(?) in the way things are expressed. Much more simple than English. Almost like the difference between a normal meme (spanish) and a lefty meme (english).
That being said, though, I think that English is superior due to being able to express more nuances.
