You don't have to hate someone to use violence.
Oh ok, so you don't really believe in God then.
Right but you have hatred in your heart, so when you hit someone, you do it out of hatred.
You can spank a child to discipline them without hating them. I can defend someone who is being attacked without hating the attacker. Hungarians can beat migrants with sticks to defend their border without hating the migrants.
Of course you can also do all of these things with hatred as well. Jesus did not have to hate the Jews to whip them when he saw them doing an injustice.
