I think there is a small number of people who would manage to benefit from transitioning after ruling everything else out, but it's a SMALL number and this "trans craze" is gonna fuck up a lot of people in the long term.
Pretty sure that's how it is for the one legitimate trans person I know. It was a last-ditch attempt for a solution that happened to work. Absolutely hates the trenders more than anyone else I know.
As for me, if I had to choose between letting the crazy leftist doctors fuck with my body or my brain to try to match them up, I'll pick the body. Fixing brain problems is hard enough when we do have an idea what we're doing, and if the transitioning/fix doesn't work out, fixing my body from their drugs seems way easier than fixing whatever the drugs might do to my mind.

Probably better to not take any drugs whatsoever, and definitely better to not get any surgeries. If you think that detransitioning your body is somehow "easier" than fixing your mind, you should listen to some detrans stories.
I think the hang up is that there are no drugs/therapy that work.
IIRC, for the 0.1% of troons that actually have gender dysphoria, antipsychotic medication like what we give to schizos who hear voices has been shown to help. I've seen a study a while back, but it's pretty buried for obvious reasons.
For the other 999/1000, I prescribe a healthy dose of bullying.
This is because the professed problem is a front.
