If a late term abortion is perfectly legal, then what's the argument against experimentation up to that age of gestation? There isn't one. Not one that has any legal logic behind it, anyway.

Wasn't trying to swing your opinion in either direction. It was merely an observation that it's a lot harder to come up with a coherent argument against this research if you also allow women to terminate inconvenient or unwanted pregnancies on a whim.
I agree, but the thing about humans is that coherent arguments are not what gets us going, appeal to either straight chemistry or more complex process in emotion does.
