Interesting, they test their hormone levels to see....what?
Oh you know what.
What's hilarious is that the threshold levels of testosterone that they're testing for are still exponentially higher by orders of magnitude than any biological woman could ever naturally produce.
Every now and then, you'll see (actual) female athletes in other sports be disqualified because their testosterone levels are too high. The media would have you believe that they're victims and they're being picked on because their "natural" testosterone levels are simply much higher than other women, but who knows if that's even true when they reach such levels?
Here's a study showing that even an entire year on Testosterone suppressants is not enough to have any meaningful impact on the trans athlete.

Basically, all this fight is was a biological male identifying as female beating the shit out of a woman.
According to the IOC, up to 10 nmol of testosterone can be present on a transgender athlete, meanwhile for a woman it is up to 3 nmol. So I suspect this might be the same for the MMA in some way. That extra 7 nmol gives a HUGE advantage for any athlete.
Of course, you are right. Extra, bulkier muscles, better lung capacity, longer/bigger and stronger bones.
Adult male bone structure also give them greater musculoskeletal leverage than a female skeleton. It's not just muscle and bone mass. Give me a long enough lever and I'll move the world.
If this woman (the real one) was a volunteer, I lost all sympathy for her.
I wonder how many years of training the girl he beat up had.
